LAMP Program

Overview of LAMP Program

Q: What services are offered by the Louisiana Agricultural Mediation Program (LAMP) ?
A. The Southern University Law Center, in conjunction with the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center, has established LAMP to provide United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) program participants an opportunity to resolve their disputes through mediation. LAMP has been certified by USDA to provide mediation, as well as direct assistance needed to prepare for mediation.

Q: How can these services be accessed?
A. To obtain these services Louisiana farmers, ranchers, rural families, or other USDA program participants may contact the Program Coordinator, Anna Jackson, who will determine what services can be provided. If you wish to have your dispute with USDA mediated, you must notify the Louisiana Agricultural Mediation Program of your decision in writing no later than 18 days after the date the decision is rendered.
